SPELLBOUND // T.G.I.H #29
Betcha thought I forgot about this week! Nope. I've just been slaving over the editing table, shooting up a storm, designing printy goodies, and trying to keep my precious new throw pillows from being devoured by my puppy, Frog. Oh, and looking for a new house in the woods... more on that one soon. Speaking of woods, today Hannah and I hit Pier Park, a gorgeous stretch of nature a few blocks away, to give a visual hug to her new family's photo albums. Her new mother and father-in-law are quickly approaching their FORTIETH wedding anniversary, and have some genuinely gorgeous book-bound moments to show for the years since that fateful day...
A few words from Hannah:
Photos have always meant a lot to me, and I spent my childhood pouring over family albums, examining expressions, weaseling out stories, and even making up my own. My new husband Alex's family has a tomb of photographic gold that I've recently discovered; a time warp of stories, travels, milestones, and essentially true love, captured in time. The albums they've shared with me have opened a window into the evolution of their amazing family since they were married, almost forty years ago. With every page I turn, I feel a new kinship with my new mother and father and with their extended family; both those I've met and those I'll never get the chance to meet. Alex and my photographic journey is so new that my recent perusals have inspired me to record, cherish, and celebrate all that lies ahead, preserving it for my peace of mind as well as the prying eyes of future generations... I'm realizing that each book is a time capsule, a story, and a truth, that will be passed down through our family for years to come.
