FARM SPECIMENS // winter
Living on a farm is just too much for collectors like us. With each season providing such an array of unique flora and fauna, we've assembled our foraged items into a visual collection of sorts. See below for winter specimens collected on Justin's Working Theory Farm. We really loved the range of colors and textures from the colder months and look forward even more to what specimens Spring will bring...

WORKING THEORY FARM // news
We're moving the farm! Working Theory Farm is spreading out on a lovely new plot in Hillsboro, OR and we can't wait to share more photos of the season's progress with you. Follow Justin's adventures on his website, blog, and facebook as he gets settled in the new dirt.
We snapped a few of Mr. Green today on a break from building a new roof for his cooler and wash/pack area. With some brotherly help from Josh, they managed to get the whole thing up without being thrown off from the wind...
And one polaroid:
This last summer, Hannah's genius husband Alex followed a day on the farm with Justin. It documents everything from harvest to wash-up to market time to silliness when the work was over. If you haven't seen it yet, we suggest you turn up the volume and enjoy a few minutes of summer.

FARM FROST // spectacle
We're getting to the point in the season when it's impossible to imagine that the farm has ever looked different than how it does now. Lush greens? Grapes and blackberries? Fields of poppies and peonies? Naw.
Walking a few mornings ago, the new fate almost seemed worth it. Every single thing was frosted like a delicacy with glittering ice. Who needs spring?

WORKING THEORY FARM // video
Happy Thanksgiving, friends. Today we bring you a video that Hannah's incredibly talented husband Alex made about my husband, Justin, and his Working Theory Farm. Thank you, Hannah, for your contributions in the editing room and with directing/pitchforking the final scene. :)
The timing is impeccable. With this season's end right around the corner, it was the perfect chance to reflect on how fortunate we have been to have Justin, the farm, and all the beautiful food and friends that have come from it.
Invest two minutes below (and pump the volume!) for one last slice of summer. Then go 'like' the farm here!
What's your favorite vegetable?

WORKING THEORY FARM // wash-up
This morning's harvest brought bunches of kale, onion, broccoli, carrots, and lettuce. Sharing in the teamwork were some family and friends... super troopers who were up with Justin at the crack of dawn pulling food from the earth for market. In the rain. Thank you, Ian, Jessica, Josh, and Lola -- you totally earned that coffee and french toast.
